Usage
To maintain the abnormal properties, the weapon must be recharged every 6 hours. If this is not done, the weapon must be stored in a vault at -15°C for 12 days to restore the anomalous properties of the object.
The weapon is issued to ASSAULT commander when it is planned to be used in military operations.
Due to the current threats to the CI, this item was issued to the Captain of Base six ISD █████ as a precautionary measure against a possible attack on Base six by the SCP Foundation.

This object appears to be a regular Sturmgewehr 44 manufactured towards the end of World War II. There is a marking "Unter" on the barrel. Upon assembly and examination of construction details, no significant differences from the standard specimen were found. Additionally, an analysis of the composition of the bullets loaded into the assault rifle before it came into the possession of CI revealed nothing unusual, so special production of 7.92×33mm Kurz bullets was established on Base ██ to supply the object with ammunition.
The shooting object uses standard StG 44 cartridges of 7.92×33mm Kurz, but upon firing, the bullet changes its caliber to .50 BMG. An experiment with an action camera showed that the bullet changes caliber 0.01 seconds after exiting the barrel, with an initial velocity of 998-1123 m/s. Despite these characteristics, the weapon has almost no recoil.
Upon disassembly of the object, it was found that only the magazine for cartridges can be replaced; in other cases, the automatic carbine loses its anomalous properties. Item has a standard reloading system for the StG 44.
