Usage
This anomaly serves as the Chaos Insurgency's primary secure communication platform for high-value operations. Personnel access the environment through a modified game client labeled "Kingdomcraft". Upon connection, users are assigned an avatar known as a "Cookie Sovereign." These avatars function simultaneously as player characters, encryption keys, and identity verification systems. They can be edited freely through an ontological process connected to the user's mental identity.
Messages are transmitted through in-game actions rather than conventional text. Orders may be hidden within kingdom layouts, encoded into resource distributions, embedded within architectural designs, or concealed inside procedurally generated dungeons. This has allowed for a complicated but almost impervious method of communication.
Even if Foundation personnel gain access to a transmission, though it is highly unlikely, messages appear as ordinary gameplay data. The system is routinely used for:
- Strategic communication between Cells.
- Distribution of intelligence reports.
- Transfer of operational directives.
- Coordination of anomaly acquisition teams.
- Secure storage of sensitive information.
- Recruitment and vetting of potential assets.
Certain structures known as Crown Vaults can store encrypted records. Destruction of a Crown Vault automatically relocates its contents to another location within the game world, preventing data loss. The In-Worlders1 have agreed to guard the vaults per the Treaty Of Usage.
Kingdomcraft is also used as a training environment. Junior operatives learn operational security, cryptographic principles, and anomalous logistics through simulated kingdom management and exploration activities. This has allowed further relationships with the In-Worlder nation Archonia.
Foundation attempts to monitor communications have consistently failed due to the anomaly's ability to dynamically alter communication pathways whenever external observation is detected. And thanks to the defensive help from the In-Worlders
Report
Kingdomcraft is an anomalous digital environment discovered during an investigation into a cluster of reality-altering gaming anomalies. The environment combines the mechanics, aesthetics, and narrative structures of a kingdom-building game with an infinitely expanding block-based world.
At first glance, Kingdomcraft resembles a harmless entertainment product. Users construct kingdoms populated by animated sapient humanoid entities while simultaneously exploring and modifying a vast open-world environment.
Further study revealed that the game possesses no identifiable source code, development history, or physical host system. The anomaly's most valuable property is its communication architecture. Unlike conventional networks, Kingdomcraft does not transmit information through recognizable packets. Information instead manifests as alterations to the game's narrative state.
A message sent by one operative may appear to another as:
- A newly generated quest.
- Resource production fluctuations.
- Architectural modifications.
- Alterations to environmental conditions.
The anomaly ensures only intended recipients perceive the correct information. Foundation cyberwarfare divisions have reportedly intercepted thousands of transmissions yet recovered nothing but seemingly random gameplay logs.
Analysis suggests Kingdomcraft actively rewrites information pathways whenever hostile observation occurs. No successful decryption of a Kingdomcraft transmission by external organizations has been documented, marking the continued success of the method
Since the CI acquired Kingdomcraft privately, erasing it from downloadable clients, the world has taken a life of its own. In-Worlders, the codename for the sentient beings within the game, have formed the nation Archonia and have engaged in an alliance with our operatives. In return for defending against non-insurgency personnel within Kingdomcraft, operatives are to regularly finish assigned quests within the game to maintain Archonian peace. This agreement is recognized as the "Treaty of Usage."
Due to the success of Kingdom Craft usage, Facility MCRK-1 under the Omicron Cell has been established. The Facility is meant to maintain peace and do the regular quests within Kingdom Craft. Useful anomalies discovered within the game may also be catalogued. Further information may be acquired from Cell Director Ohnesorge or Facility Director Valasquez.
