Not so much the laser's quantity but do we actually have laser turrets? That's the part that raised eyebrows for me.

Why can't we? It's not like we're keeping high-tech gear we, maybe, stole from our labs at Pyongyang, or stole plans from the Pentagon or something. We may have benefactors and sponsors that supply us with them, or we simply reverse-engineered it from something.

1) are the typos in the footnote intentional … if so I don't like that.
2) how did we outfit a satellite that could follow an OP alien satellite without being noticed b radar, or the OP alien satellite?

Alright, will triage the casualties of the rewrite:
1. Apparently from my 1-minute research on 19th century English, that's how they say Hello. Quasitor was her misinformation, but small nitpicks can be changed.
2. One thing I'd stress with the new Quaesitor entry: she may be observant… she may have a lot of sensors, but she's not omniscient. Given the surplus of satellites orbiting Earth, she'd brush it off.
3. QUAESITOR cannot scan the CI database, or any database for that matter, without permission… which she has very limited of. Her abilities are limited to deep observation of the world, but, of course, some concealment techniques escape her attention.

5. Now that you put it that way… Perhaps I confused Angus' cameo with the entry for Remedion, which has medical bearing. Will change to… N.T., then.

3. I assumed that the epilogue for the IES story with quasi's ability to get such precise scans was canon. If so it would be childs play to read a left out document or a computer screen regarding Monty 5. Now I realize that that is not necessarily canon and retract my statement.

I thought that the info-box was just left as it was when you removed the article and that the lack of recognition of 'Bert' elsewhere was an indication that the info-box was simply out dated. now clarified. ( also partly because she introduces herself as quaesitor in her first transmission, not Bert.)

If the spy satellite can be explained better, either by having a net with constant global surveillance or something that does not involve a man-made satellite with no anomalous abilities, this would be a great way to utilize an item for practical use by the way, keeping up with a satellite with extraterrestrial propulsion capable of interstellar flight. Then likely an up-vote.

You seem to be taking the rewrite in a negative way. As the author of both versions, I will ask you not to take it like that. I wrote the article, I know how to preserve the original's essence and turn it into a more considerate report.

4.) What minute falsities QUAESITOR has scanned can be corrected thru her asking the folks at Montgomery beforehand or afterwards during processing.
Course of Action #1: A net of global surveillance is far too expensive and grandiose for a satellite, certainly beyong anything the Insurgency can have. A belief that the M5 satellite isn't capable/concealed enough is excessively paranoid. Remember that M5 is just a more observant extension of a job that's given to the stations themselves.

It's that that I'm taking this change super harshly. I just never took the time to really go over and rate the original. To be honest I just hopped onto the up-vote bandwagon with the bell of entropy, the polapups and this.
Since you went through all the trouble to interact with me and implement most out of the seven suggestions I had I can't be mad … I guess you can't win 'em all (see what I did there?)
Humor aside thanks for all this and while I may have one qualm with the article, it is —good great enough to cover up for it, so. Up-vote.
HalsEdit: please PM me when you decide whether or not base four does or does not have a quaesitor defense wing to coordinate the satellite defenses.
Please correct me if I'm totally misreading their relationship, but is Dr Caduceus actually in love with Quaesitor, as per Do Humans Go Splat? Would the Alpha Command/Helios/Haos(?) even allow such a relationship in the first place? Not complaining because I love both Quasi and the Splat story, just confused :p
Long story short, this running gag… Quasi x Cad… started with some comedic skits we did on Mibbit Chat back in the day, if I recall correctly, in which we named our chat for Quaesitor after the Item.
"My Lovely Eye in the Sky" probably followed that Tale, then Doctor Halsey followed it up with the If Eye Stay series. And… I've just rolled along with the romance ever since. I know the angle is just so out of left field, but I find it fun trying to make it work anyways.
Good follow-up question. Quaesitor's lore needs some renovating to account for how she has time to spend with Marty. They likely have a lot of long-distance communication, maybe 80% of the time. I honestly haven't come up with a good answer yet. With regards to the Alphas or Helios (or Haos), I guess they've given both Quasi and Cad a long leash insofar as they haven't screwed up yet.
