I am pretty sure that you cant use brand names like this. I would advice some bares over the logo in the picture as well as black boxes for anything but the first letter of each named product.

Why is this poison generator even publicly available? Worst case someone poisons there boss or accidentally kills him/herself, more likely wasted time getting people to guard the thing and check everyone's money. Question: Can we open the money slot? If not we aren't even making money of the thing. The money collection bin can usually only be reached when the device is opened for restocking, at least that is the case for the machines i am familiar with.

I think this needs an overhaul.

May i implement at least the name and picture censoring? I think that needs doing and I got no reaction to my suggestion, so i guess the author has not considered it.

I don't want the P[REDACTED] force on the roof of side 19. They can smell when there name is used.

when i say "any" I mean any that you deem in the best interests of the item so long as the general narrative remains the same… (uneasy feeling intensifies) But in regards to the source of the image, I took it myself in the break room of m former job. As far as I can see, no indications of this are visible in the image so you should be good there.

If the value of bepsi is actually higher than the value of poison that makes sens, but in that case i would just disable all other options. A sheet of plexiglass of a fitting size with a couple of holes should do that trick and last i checked the technology to produce change was build into any other vending machine so that mechanism could be fitted onto the Plexiglas disabling the possibility of accidental poisoning and saving manpower in the process.

My favored option would however be to have the thing under lock and key and have an automated bepsi harvesting device installed (3 robot arms and one microchip). If we can get the money back out somehow, just make it a closed loop and use the harvested drink in a regular machine that is publicly available.

In a recent exchange i was made aware that i actually never published my reasons for not voting and my head-canon backstory publicly.

Reason for not voting

I have not down voted the thing, because i don't down vote without a solid reason and the "needs more" argument is not a solid reason, but i cant up vote it for the same reason. My head-canon just wants me to continue working on the thing, but i wanted to give the author some time in case he had other plans for how the machine came to be and into Insurgency custody.

I think i did not actually mention that here and just called it an overhaul.

Non-canon backstory

[…]to me it reads like a disgruntled Pepsi employee/possibly ex-coka-cola company cursed the thing, first to only accept perfect change (perhaps because the change function was defective and he/she kept getting called to this one machine for repairs), second to restock itself (i don't think it actually produces the stuff, i think it just teleports it out of a warehouse and the Foundation is observing the phenomena going "oh, aha, very interesting" as we speak), third so that only he/she can open the thing as to not make him/her replaceable (possibly faced termination after some sort of poisoned cola scandal. You cant have a poisoned supply without the person stocking the machine looking suspect and since he/she is the only one that can open the machine it looks pretty obvious that he/she tampered with the machine.

I imagine the story continuing with the machine being put out of service by emptying it out by pressing all buttons up to its maximum of stock capacity (which explains why it was thought to be empty by the one putting it out of commission since it should be empty).

Than someone found the thing on a scrapyard, realized he/she could not open it and just for fun plugged it in to see whether there was something still to be had, that person drew out a coca cola, got poisoned and died on the spot, thus alerting the police and possibly an Insurgent with an ear to the police frequency hearing something about a dead man in front of a scrappy looking machine.

And all of this because an employee had some bad workplace experiences.

EDIT: Also, just to clear it up, i just need the usage better explained or adjusted as that was my main concern.

Meta, in regards to your head-canon, you kinda hit the nail on the head with your explanation. Not so much with the scrapyard, but with the reasons behind it, pretty accurate. I just wasn't sure how I was supposed to explain all that from the perspective of the insurgency when they don't know all of that.

Also in regards to the Foundation going "hmmmmmmmmmmm…" I'm still laughing my ass-off from that one!
