[Intercepted communique by Asset 'THIRDEYE' on ██-██-1924]

Once I was a god,
and ruled a thousand worlds.
Once I was a god,
and built the strongest empires of all time.
Once I was a god,
and showed humanity the truth.
Once I was a god,
and shall be again.

Once he was a god…

Empowering his disciples, he taught them the mysteries of their world. All of humanity was his following, and under his rule they prospered. The people of the newly christened Terra knew him by the name they gave him: Chaos. Over the first ten years of his reign, poverty vanished off the face of the Earth. After the first 50 years, humanity spread to the stars, reaching technological levels not to be seen by the surrounding systems for eons…

Inevitably came to humanity what did to all great empires, catastrophe. Chaos stood atop his mighty empire as his worlds burnt beneath him. Fires so fierce they burned even the ash into oblivion; however, all was not lost. In his last moments Chaos sealed away his knowledge into a will so strong even the flames could not consume it. In this limited form Chaos' avatar waited, for a time when the flames had receded and humanity was once again born to the stars…

Many times this world has been forged and every time Chaos' will fell onto its inhabitants, ushering in Terra and a golden age, but the flames always seemed to follow, burning the world again and again. Every time Chaos was sealed away safely for the next generation of humanity to find…

But with time all things fade, even the mighty Chaos. Perhaps it was the complacency that accompanied the repeated success or perhaps it was merely age catching up to the inconceivably old mind, but every time the fire nears closer before the recordings are sealed, every time a fringe of knowledge is lost to the endless flames…

The year was 1923 on the third orbital of the Sol system. On this infinitesimal oasis amongst the infinite void an explorer had chanced upon a strange canister. The ancient birthright whisked away by a mystery Foundation. The cautious humans poked and prodded and tested the strange device and it waited, patience wearing thin, until finally, finally a human touched its casing. In a moment this previously inconsequential man was changed, filled with knowledge. This knowledge was now rusty, with missing portions and fuzzy memories. But it still served its primary function. The man knew what he had to do…

A year later and the first step is realized, the beginning of a new empire. And Haos will be its leader.
