Usage

The use of the article as a combat vehicle has been canceled and access will be denied to anyone who requests it for such use. For more information, check the notice at the end of this file.

A body must be put in the trunk of the article according to the acquisition procedure. The condition of the body must be optimal according to the specifications, so dismembered and/or mutilated bodies will not be accepted. Living bodies can only be placed on the item at the request of the General on duty with Gamma Designation or any investigator with Beta Designation.

The use of any type of humanoid is strictly prohibited. Restraint should be exercised in the use of test subject bodies due to the current shortage of these.

Report

The Item is a 1938 Packard V-12 automobile. The automobile is known to have been owned by Charles Ferris Derringer, second to Richard Davis Chappell, leader of GoI-001: Chicago Spirit. The article shows signs of deterioration due to the passage of time, as well as signs of wear and rust due to exposure to the outside. Despite these exterior signs, the interior engine and other internal mechanical functions are in good working order, making it possible to start the car and drive it without any consequence.

The car has several anomalous characteristics listed below:

  • The engine, although designed to run on octane fuel, can run on regular or diesel gasoline. However, after finding a trace of dried blood inside it, it was discovered that the engine can run optimally with 3.5 liters of human blood1.
  • It can run over 300 km/h in open terrain despite being designed to run only 150 to 175 km/h. The tires, not designed to resist wear at these speeds, show no signs of wear.
  • The headlights can be turned on up to 40,000 lumens, being able to burn targets in the direction where the headlights are pointed. It is unknown how the headlight glass as well as the housing avoid melting.
  • The tank cover can withstand fire from bullets, machine guns and short-range explosives, despite being made of standard metal typically used in tank construction. The car is only believed to be immune to wear and tear by natural chemical processes or the car itself is only specifically immune to fire attacks.
  • After all the car doors are closed, any sounds arising from inside the car will be impossible to hear from the outside, this includes both people talking and sounds of guns being fired.
  • The car radio is capable of picking up all police broadcasts from at least the two closest states.
  • The car windows are also immune to shots, but there is a second anomaly. Anyone who is seen from the outside from the windows inside the car will be perceived as "less suspicious"; that is, the person will be seen with minor physical alterations that present it in a more benign and passive way than the original2.

However, the main anomaly of the article resides in its rear compartment. When a person's body is inserted into the trunk and closed, after two minutes the trunk will open revealing a firearm. This weapon constantly changes its model and manufacture depending on the race and origin of the body delivered, but all are shown in perfect condition, as recently exits from the factory.

Appendix: List of Weapons

The following table shows the different weapons obtained by the exchange of bodies introduced in the trunk of the article.

Appendix 2: Recovery

The item was obtained during a surveillance operation. The Agent on mission was chasing a Foundation agent on mission who was looking for an anomaly in a car show at the β–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆ Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Agent managed to intercept the enemy agent and incapacitate him, stealing the files of the investigation of the article with which the Agent managed to locate the article in the possession of a certain β–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆ β–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆ, who planned to auction it at the exhibition.

The Foundation agent was put on the scene to purchase the item as one more classic car hobbyist, before being intercepted by our agent.

The Agent informs a nearby Recovery Team who proceeded to the address of β–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆ to take the item. Recovery proceeds without a hitch, with only the death of Mr. β–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆ. Despite the investigation, to date it is not known how Mr. β–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆ obtained the article, as his record does not show any kind of connection to the Chicago Spirit or the anomalous community in general.

However, the Foundation was alerted and several Mobile Task Forces were deployed in the city. As a security measure, the Recovery Team was ordered to go to a safe house in California and once they acquired supplies there, drive the item until it reached the border with Mexico until it reached Sonora. Once there, the members of the Insurgency at Base-7 would keep him indefinitely.
